Maxima R.C. Auto

According to the rule in force, 19 April 1993 Dpr, insurance RCAuto must be signed for an amount not less than 774,685.35 per accident. The Community Law approved by the Italian Senate last January 18 states that before 11 December 2009, the minimum coverage will raise half expected at least 2.5 million, and then, by 11 June 2012, l ‘ adjustment should be complete by the amount that comes to 5 million.

With this adjustment imposed by the Fifth Directive car in Italy by Legislative Decree 198/07 (issued in compliance with the principles of delegation of the Community Law 2006), it is expected to increase the ceilings on minimum legal coverage to one million euros to each victim or 5 million per claim, regardless of the number of victims for damage to person, and one million euros per claim for property damage.

A touch on the amounts that according to the European Union was necessary, because the current is a sum that, in view of the severity of accidents occurring on roads and the clearance of the criteria adopted by the courts, is totally inadequate, the ceiling is a very important clause of the contract RCAuto and represents the maximum amount that the insurance company is willing to repay the third injured when a client to cause the accident. If the sum assured should be sufficient to clear all the damage, a portion of the compensation would be borne by the insured responsible, with the further consequence, in the event of insolvency of the latter, that the victims could be compensated only in part.

Vittorio Verdone, Director Automotive, distribution and consumer Ania says that the date of 11 December 2009 is not so far away. Many contracts are already adapted to higher ceilings, while others will end gradually starting already from a year earlier, then the next few months.
